Material selection
We source leather and vegan-leather alternatives for how they age, not just how they photograph — a good material should soften and deepen in character over years of use, not crack or peel within months.
Construction
Every seam is stress-tested at the points that take the most weight — handles, straps, and base corners. Our cutting and stitching follow a pattern-first process so panels align precisely, piece to piece.
Hardware
Zips, clasps, and D-rings are plated to resist tarnish and chosen for smooth, quiet action — hardware that catches or sticks is the fastest way a bag starts to feel cheap, so we test every batch before it ships.
Quality control
Before a piece is packed, it's checked by hand against our own reference sample — stitch density, hardware finish, lining alignment, and overall shape all have to match before it earns the Carrylux name.
